The SHAHA Board held a meeting 4/29/2026.

The minutes from the 3/25/2026 board meeting were approved with changes.

There was no treasurer’s report; but, a complete statement will be available at the end of the month. An insurance bill is due in May for $500.

Old Business:

It was reported that the HOA’s taxes have been filed for 2025 and that any donations to the HOA are considered special assessments and are not taxable.

Concerning the legal status of the emergency exit tract, HOA’s attorney Gemmill drafted petition for sanctions, the board has reviewed it suggesting changes, and attorney Gemmill will file it at the courthouse.

The president told the board of his efforts to get Rt 72 potholes fixed; but, has been unsuccessful so far. He will continue to pursue it.

New Business:

The board had an extended discussion about fundraising approaches, strongly suggesting that only face to face fundraising efforts would be effective and outlining a workable approach. Stating a target dollar amount to potential donors was considered very important. It was noted that there are other future issues that could cost money in addition to the emergency exit tract issue. It was agreed to continue discussions on fundraising at the next meeting.

The meeting was adjourned.

Next Board Meeting: Wednesday 6/11 at 7pm via Google Meet
